Day 1 - Why I’m Starting To Write Online

I signed up for a digital writing course called Ship 30 for 30 It’s about establishing a writing habit by publishing every day.

Here Are a Few Reasons why

  • I wanted to write online for a while now, but never got started
  • I want to share my learnings & offer my knowledge
  • I want to make connections with like minded individuals

What’s the point throwing your thoughts into the voids of the internet?

Scott Hanselmann gave a great example in a talk about mentorship and sponsorship (unfortunately, the video isn’t available anymore). He mentioned that he wrote a blog article about 3D printing on a weekend, and it ended up being one of his most popular articles. Even now, he still gets thank you emails about it.

Your experience might be valuable to someone.

So over the next 30 days, I plan on writing about a mix of Developer related things (how to exit vim), probably Knowledge Management and things I wish I knew sooner.

Follow along and let me know if you have any questions!

I’m excited to start sharing what I know online.
